Arrival at the Mercado Modelo is very easy.

The building is located in the Praça Visconde de Cayrú in the commercial district of the region known as Cidade Baixa (the Lower City), in front of Baía de Todos os Santos.

At the foot of the Elevador Lacerda and the Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição da Praia, the patron saint of Bahia, enclosed by Forte São Marcelo, by the fountain and ramp of the Mercado Modelo, provides the visitor with easy access and an unforgettable journey to the history and culture of Bahia.

There is also a private parking station and free parking spaces for tourist buses, vans and special taxis.

For visitors who arrive by ship at the port, a free service is provided, with bilingual guides in a modern airconditioned van.
